Information for new and future members
Before reading about the new"Accountability System", let's discuss the terms of becoming a member , since the new rules are causing some confusion.
To become a member,first you must fill out an application, with signatures from a main club sponsor and 2 additional sponsors,an application fee, and be voted in by the current members of the club.So, the only way to become a member is to know a member and have them sponsor you. Hopfully this clears up any confusion.
All new members have always had to help with 2 functions and attend 3 meetings to fulfill their club obligations , a pretty easy task. Up until now, it's always been an honor system that has never been checked and doesn't really work. The same people always end up doing the chores and the new people skate. As of 3/6/12 , a new accountability sytem is being implemented .All members will be required to follow the new rules as will their main sponsor.
